SUMMARY:A celebration of the new wall at the Good Shepherd Church
DESCRIPTION:The Church Warden James Murdoch writes:\n“We are proceeding with the  organisation of a short ceremony celebrating the completion of the rebuilding of  the wall\,  followed by refreshments\, at 11:45am\, after our 10:30 service\, on Sunday 22 March.\n\nThe short 11:45 ceremony will be followed by fizz and cake refreshments as well as tea and coffee probably back in the Building. If weather permits we may serve the fizz outside.\n\nThe 11:45am event is open to all\, although everyone is also welcome to attend the 10:30 am service. Please do let people know on your website and Facebook page.\nIt’s expected that a small brass plaque wo;; be unveiled.. saying:\n\nHistoric Wantage Road Wall Rebuilt 2025-2026\n\nby John Walsh Builders\nArchitect Nicholas Weedon of Hanslip & Co.\, Building Surveyor Rosemary Silver of Avison Young (UK) Ltd\n\nwith help from the Lee Manor Society and the generosity of the Benefact Trust\, the local community and the Good Shepherd congregation\nChurchwardens: Sue Tearle & James Murdoch 22/3/2026″
