Latest news from the Lee Manor Community Garden

It’s been quite a productive winter so far in the LMCG. Recently, Mike Haste and I fixed both the broken beds (see above and below) and re-felted the roof, which was beginning to leak quite badly.

Ann, Trudy, Farrah, Monica, James and I have kept the garden tidy, harvested the last crops (kohlrabi, chard and spinach), cleared all the beds and covered them with wire and netting to keep the local cats and foxes at bay… We’ve also sorted the compost bins so we have a better system, with some lovely rich soil ready to be mixed into a couple of the beds today.

Finally, we’ve planned what is be grown where this year and are confident that the place will be looking great in time for the annual Lee Manor Society Plant Mart on Saturday 9th May.

Please see the Community Garden page for more details.
