In memoriam – Patti Byford

We are saddened to report that Patti (Patsy) Byford, a long-standing member of the Lee Manor Society, has died aged 85.

Patti was a regular volunteer at our Sunday Ice House openings and it was her failure to turn up to a planned opening at the beginning of June that made us aware that she was unwell and had been taken into Lewisham Hospital. Her quiet presence will be sadly missed.

Patti’s funeral will take place at Hither Green Crematorium, Verdant Lane, London SE6 1TP at 1pm on Thursday, July 24th 2025.

  1. I have known Patsy for 40 years. She drew me in the 1980s and we went to astrology classes. She was so kind, and we shared many interests, including cats! I shall miss Patsy very much
I am sure she will be at rest and l know she is looking forward to being with her cats. Bless her
    Xx. Such a beautiful soul.

  2. I liked Patti very much – she was always friendly and had a lovely smile. It feels like only a week ago that I saw her in Sainsburys, Lee Green. So many people are dying suddenly without many warning signs until the last week or two. RIP Patti.

  3. I was very sad to have the news of Patti Byford. I did a few ice house duties with her and she was good company. Patti was always cheerful and had some interesting tales to tell.
