
The Lee Manor Society Annual Review has been published. It covers all the Society’s activities during the past 12 months. You can find it here.
The Review covers several issues which are important to Lee residents including Leegate and the Sustainable Streets programme.
The review will be presented to the Society’s Annual General Meeting on October 1st. Click here for full details. It’s at the Manor House library, starting at 7 30 pm All are welcome. The guest speaker will be Paul Wright, historian for the Blackheath Society. He will be talking about the post-war redevelopment of Lee. Illustrated by photographs taken by the then vicar of St Margaret’s Church. The area covered is mainly to the north of the Lee High Road which went from poor Victorian and pre-Victorian housing to a mix of council and private developments. This in the context of the redevelopment of Leegate and the Lee Green crossroads.
