A serial shoplifting suspect has been arrested in Lee Green, according to the Met police.
They say that while carrying out what they call “proactive foot patrols” in the area, officers from the Lee Green Safer Neighbourhood Team identified a male known to be targeting local businesses across Lee Green and Downham.
He was wanted for multiple offences, including theft from shops, breach of a court order, and assault on a police officer. Met Engage reported that the man was arrested and remains in police custody, where he is awaiting his appearance before the courts on Monday.
