A man dressed as Batman caused traffic chaos at the junction of Eltham Road and Sidcup Road, when he started giving away £70 vouchers for petrol.
A Micheldever Road resident said he gave away at least £3,500 worth of vouchers at the Texaco filling station. As word spread motorists started queuing to cash in, causing jams to build up.
“He just wanted to give something back,” she said. It’s though the man was doing it as a publicity stunt to promote his social media profile.
