A reminder that the next meeting of the Lee Green Ward police panel is at 7 pm on Thursday the 24th of July 2025 at Manor House Library.

PCSO Iulian Matei says “This will serve to us as your local policing force as a great opportunity to hearing any of your opinions and any potential worries that we can address to the best of our ability and together come up with a plan going forwards for the year to solve them.

  1. The netting above the mixed-use play area in Manor House Gardens was recently removed after it had been vandalised. It has not been replaced, as had been promised by various local bodies and councillors, along with the inclusion of other security and surveillance measures which have also not taken place. The absence of netting means that footballs are being kicked out of the caged area and into adjoining houses, causing damage, disruption, consternation and concern but, more ominously, also encouraging ball-owners to try to scale the walls and fences of the park into nearby houses in attempts to retrieve their balls. This is leading to several incidents of anti-social and increasingly aggressive behaviour from both ‘sides’ which will surely escalate. Could everyone unite to enforce Glendales to replace the netting to prevent the escalation of ASB which will surely result from this omission?
