Another of the large lime trees in Micheldever Road came to a sad end today when the high wind uprooted it.

The tree came down on the pavement but fortunately missed people and cars.

A tree surgeon who was called to deal with the tree said it appeared to have dried out.

Lime trees are prone to developing honey fungus which can rot trees from the inside. In the past we have reported that it may spell the end for our avenues of trees.
